Children Ministry

You Joshua and Abby Brown serve as the Associate & Children’s Pastor at Highland Church, where he is passionate about connecting children and families to the life-changing message of Jesus. Originally from Dallas, Texas, Joshua and his wife felt a deep calling to invest in the next generation, fostering a Christ-centered foundation for children and families.

With a heart for ministry and education, Joshua also serves as the Dean of Students at Highland-Academy, bringing his expertise as an educator to both the church and the school. His experience in leadership and teaching allows him to create engaging, faith-filled environments where children can grow spiritually and thrive academically.

Whether leading children’s ministry, equipping parents, or mentoring students, Joshua is committed to building strong families and helping the next generation walk confidently in faith. He believes that every child is uniquely gifted by God and strives to create opportunities for them to experience His love in a meaningful way.

Matthew and Kayla Terrill serve as the Youth Pastors at Highland Church, bringing energy, vision, and a deep commitment to raising up a generation that passionately follows Jesus. Hailing from West Terre Haute, the Terrills are devoted to helping young people discover their identity in Christ and walk in bold, Spirit-led faith.

At Highland Church, Matthew and Kayla lead our student ministries, creating engaging, Christ-centered environments where teens are encouraged to grow spiritually, build lasting friendships, and step confidently into their God-given purpose. They bring both creativity and depth to youth services, retreats, and discipleship gatherings that are rooted in the Word and led by the Spirit.

With hearts on fire for the Gospel, the Terrills are committed to empowering youth to LOVE , SERVE , and BUILD on the unshakable foundation of Jesus Christ.

Youth Ministry

Josh and Tiffany Skillman serve as the Assistant Pastors & Associate Pastors of Family Ministries at Highland Church, bringing a deep passion for the Word of God and a heart for faithful ministry. Originally from Greenfield, Indiana, the Skillmans have dedicated their lives to strengthening families and fostering spiritual growth across all generations.

In their dual pastoral roles, Josh and Tiffany provide vital leadership support to Highland Church while continuing to lead and develop ministries that focus on building strong, Christ-centered families. They help create environments where individuals and families can grow in faith, deepen their relationships, and walk in their God-given purpose.

Their ministry extends beyond the church walls through their active involvement in Highland Roadways to Recovery, where they walk alongside individuals seeking healing and transformation through Christ. Their compassion, consistency, and spiritual leadership play an essential role in supporting recovery and restoration in the community.

With a heart for discipleship, Josh and Tiffany are committed to building firm foundations in the Word, nurturing authentic relationships, and empowering others to LOVE, SERVE, and BUILD for the glory of God.
